Group & Team Coaching

Group Coaching focuses on individual development that is undertaken in a shared setting where a a common interest or theme is explored.  Each individual will have their own goals.

Team Coaching centres around improving the performance and dynamics of an existing team who have shared goals.

Accessing coaching as a team or through group coaching is a more affordable way to access coaching as you will engage in the process alongside others.

It should be noted that your experience will also be different.

Whilst team coaching, is typically undertaken with people that already have a connection e.g. as colleagues, the experience focuses on the team rather than specifically you, as an individual.  Of course you will take much away from the process personally, this is not a space to explore you.  1:1 coaching is where this work would be done.

In group coaching you often do not know the other people within the group.  People sign up to a group coaching programme due to the nature of the focus e.g. leadership, identity or wellbeing... I often describe group coaching as a protected reflective space.  There is no expectation to share and whilst the focus is on you, the interaction with me as the coach is not responsive as with 1:1 coaching.

In both team and group coaching a range of coaching tools and techniques will be used as they are in 1:1 coaching.

My Purpose

In my role as a group/team coach, my purpose is to:

  • Create an environment whereby you feel confident and comfortable in being open and honest

  • Invite you to explore, think about and process the challenges, issues and topics you are facing to support you to reach your full potential.

  • Encourage you to move beyond your comfort zone to a place you find challenging and stretching.

  • To pose the questions you have not thought to ask or have avoided asking yourself that identify the real challenge, enabler or barrier you are facing.

  • Encourage you to be solution-focussed and to look forwards.

  • Inivte you to push yourself to keep raising the bar, even when you thought you had reached it.

  • Create the space for you to critically reflect.

  • Structure questions that enable you to create and embrace new and different ways of thinking that are transformational.

My Philosophy & Approach to Group & Team Coaching

As your group or team coach, I scaffold, support, and facilitate you to identify, define and refine ambitious goals that you wish to achieve, and the various development needs you have and actions you might undertake to successfully achieve these.

I approach all coaching sessions with an open-mind and use a variety of models, tools, and approaches to effectively support sessions that scaffold your exploration and critical engagement with situations, opportunities, and barriers.  Most importantly, I believe that we all can learn and change through exploring who we are and how we interact with the world, and this is the belief that underpins my coaching.

Posing challenging questions, and inviting critical reflection forms the foundation for transformational change and this forms the basis of our sessions.  Alongside these mechanisms, I draw upon feelings and emotions within my coaching practice believing it important to understand not only what we do and what we want to do but the emotions and feelings that drive and limit us and the connection that these feelings and emotions have to our bodies, positive and negative.

As your coach, I will not advise or tell you what to do.  I am there to question, challenge and engage you in critical thinking and reflection.

My aim is to support you to become your own coach and to be the best version of you!

Great work happens with clients who have an inner drive to change and develop and who are open to exploring different perspectives and approaches to support them to further develop and to achieve a sense of joy and contentment in their lives.  Therefore, bring oyur whole self to the sessions and fully engage with the techniques and approaches used.

A lot of my work is with women, small business owners and leaders and those working within education who are often juggling many things within their personal and professional lives.

You will gain the most from coaching if you are committed to the process and invest time in this both within and beyond sessions.

A typical group/team coaching package includes...

  • Size of the team to be coached

  • desired outcomes and evaluation mechanisms

  • location

Group Coaching:

Group coaching programmes are run periodically throughout the year.  You can book onto a chosen programme that will have set dates and times.

Programme durations may change but typically run for 6 sessions of 1 hour.

Check the details of each programme as these will be priced individually according to the duration.

Typically group coaching takes place online via Zoom and programmes are run multiple times each year.

Currently, I have no coaching programmes available to book but coming in the autumn, will be programmes focused on 'discovery myself as a leader', 'identity and values' and 'wellbeing and self-care'
